Community in print turns one!

In January 2024 Community in print turned one! And coinciding with the end of the financial year in April, I have pulled together an impact report for the first year.

It has been a lovely little reflective exercise to see just how much can be done in a year! Sometime life flies by so quickly you don’t even realise all of the things that you have done!

Well… in the first year Community in print has:

Run 10 community workshops

with 82 people attending across all of these events. The workshops ranged from creative walking tours, to collage, ceramics and lino-printing.

Exhibited at 4 exhibitions across the South West of England

showcasing both the creative workshops and artworks themed on climate action.  Sales across these exhibits went on to fund three additional creative workshops.

Had stalls at 7 art fairs and makers markets

across Devon and Cornwall.

Made 3 successful funding bids

from three different funding bodies.

Worked and partnered with over 12 organisations

including Ocean Studios, the University of Plymouth, The Printery, The Ground Coffee House and Nudge Community Builders.

Thank you so much to everyone whether that is attending a workshop, saying hello at an art market or liking a post on Instagram it all means such a lot and lets me carry on doing work I love and that I hope spreads a bit more joy and creativity in the world.

Until next time,

Have a lovely week
