This residency took the idea of planetary boundaries and Kolb’s learning cycle to integrate academic theory into informed citizen science programmes. My role was to integrate an arts perspective to the traditional scientific approach of citizen science, to create a collaboration between the arts and sciences. To think about how citizen science programmes can engage a broad range of people, from a range of diverse backgrounds, to become engaged in their natural environments and become active participants of ecological field work.
