‘Nature loves diversity’ print takes inspiration from workshop one of the ‘queering climate conversations’ series.
This has subtle hues from the lesbian flag, alongside plants and animals that have been found to exhibit queer behaviour, from seagulls (of which 14% are lesbian), to ferns (which are seen to have a fluid definitions of gender, reproducing by spores that can grow into plants that may be male, female or bisexual). This print celebrates all of the diversity of nature to highlight that however we identify, nature is a home for us all.
Did you know that while many people think same-sex sexual behaviour is rare in the animal kingdom this couldn’t be further from the truth! Same-sex affection, pair-bonding, and/or parenting has been observed in over 1,500 animal species!
