‘Remember us’ print takes inspiration from workshop three of the ‘queering climate conversations’ series.
This has hues from the pride flag, and takes the quote from the poet Sappho’s fragment 147:
‘Someone will remember us
I say
Even in another time’
This print reflects on queer history and whose stories survive to be told. Stones with colours from the pride flag line the sea shore to ask that question of which stories weather the tides of time, asking us to consider the LGBTQ+ stories lost to time, and as a provocation to consider how our own stories will survive and be told to those of the next generation.
