Stone by stone

from £15.00

‘Stone by stone’ print takes inspiration from workshop four of the ‘queering climate conversations’ series.

This has subtle hues from the gay flag and speaks to the idea that positive progress is rarely a single goal to achieve, but rather lots of little stepping stones over time. That when the future is uncertain or we don’t know what the future that we hope for looks like, being together to take small step to small step builds community and wider change, even when we can’t see the rivers end or cannot know where it will flow to.

Stone by stone is a reference to the 1969 Stonewall riots, a pivotal point in the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement, led by bisexual and transgender icons Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera amongst many others.
